To All Texas High School Coaches,
Thanks to all the Coaches who have supported Gridiron Heroes in the past. You could usually find my son Chris and I at several games throughout the football season. This year to say the least will be a little different.
However, we cannot forget last year there were 4 spinal injuries in Texas.
With all that is going on with COVID 19, many of our families can relate to what it is like to have their son fight to get off a ventilator, not being able to shake hands or hug someone, having a family
member lose a job, feeling the isolation away from the game and friends, and understanding the financial hardships. The saying “we are all in this together” has a little more meaning for our
families.
Fundraising has just about come to a standstill since January 2020. I would like to create a program appealing to all coaches to send in a contribution individually or as a group. “Texas High School Coaches Circle”. We hope and Pray no Coach, Trainer, AD, or Parent ever has to call us. However, if the need comes up, we are there to help and guide all involved with
this life changing injury.
I Hope you might find a way to help raise funds for our injured athletes who sometimes become forgotten.
In the time of COVID 19, We have help with medical supplies such as gloves, wipes, hand sanitizer. We also help provide a roll in shower wheelchair and hospital bed. Over the previous 15 years we
have been able to donate 15 wheelchair accessible Vans. We now serve over 39 families from Texas alone. Visit www.gridironheroes.org and make a donation today. Share this with your coaching staff and return the form below.
Thank you in advance for your support and that of your coaching staff.
Sincerely,
Eddie Canales
