Birdie Watching

In golf, a birdie is a score of one stroke under par (the expected score) for any hole on the course.

By pledging one cent or more for every birdie made during the Valero Texas Open, or by making a straight donation of $2- or more, you can help area charities. 100% of your donation will directly support the organization asking for your contribution. Birdies for Charity is your opporunity to support local charities while keeping an eagle-eye on your budget.

Birdies Club

 


A Birdies Club member is any person or business that pledges 50 cents or more per birdie or a straight donation of $1,000 or more.

 

Club members will:

  • Be recognized on site on a Birdies Club member sign
  • Receive 4 Good Any One Day tickets to the tournament

    Guess the Birdies Contest

     

     

    Correctly guess the number of birdies made during the Valero Texas Open and you could win a brand-new vehicle. Birdies are counted Wednesday - Sunday of tournament.

     

    In 2011, 1,950 Birdies were made for charity.

     

    Void where prohibited by law. Deadline for the Guess the Birdies contest is 5pm on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. No donation is necessary to participate in the contest. Must be 18 to win. Prize cannot be exchanged for cash. Vehicle shown is for illustrative purpose only and does not necessarily reflect the actual grand prize vehicle.     Deadline for Guess the Birdies contest is

    Must have pledge form in-hand by March 7, 2012 to ensure your name will be displayed on the Birdies Club sign.
